A life-long resident of the community, Steve is a graduate of Butler High School and the University of Dayton.  Formerly a local business owner, specializing in personnel management and executive recruitment, Steve served as Directof of Human Resources for Vandalia-Butler City Schools for 11 years, and most recently held the same position with the Miami County Educational Service Center in Troy.

Steve is the past president of the Rotary Club of Vandalia, the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce and the Presidents Club of Vandalia-Butler. He has served the City of Vandalia on a variety of committees to include the Vandalia Cultural Arts Fund and the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council.  In 2004 he joined community leaders in developing Butler Township's strategic plan for growth and operation. Presently, he is a member of the City of Vandalia Planning Commission

He currently serves as the president of the Vandalia-Butler Foundation and is a former member of the Optimist Club of Vandalia.  He was awarded the prestigious Civic Achievement Award by the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce in 2003.

Cathy has more that 20 years experience in property management and real estate.  During her first year in the Real Estate business  Cathy earned the title of  "Rookie of the Year"  for her real estate office.   Later she received the Sales Leader Award from the Dayton Area Board of Realtors. During her years in the real estate industry, Cathy has made many new friends helping them to realize their goals associated with buying and/or selling real estate. 

The Martin's are the parents of Andrea, a cosmetologist with Shear Joy in Vandalia.  Son, Christian, is employed in Investor Services with National City Mortgage.  Both are graduates of Vandalia-Butler City Schools.  Christian received his undegraduate degree from his Dad's alma mater, the University of Dayton.
